About the Role

Based in Shepparton, Victoria, this clinical position involves delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents while fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for care staff and Enrolled Nurses. You will lead clinical assessments, implement evidence-based interventions, and ensure all care practices meet regulatory standards and deliver positive outcomes for residents, their families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support care staff with clinical expertise and mentorship
• Manage staff performance, rosters, and professional development
• Deliver resident-focused care that respects individual values and beliefs
• Conduct assessments and maintain accurate, personalised care plans
• Oversee medical interventions and specialised nursing needs
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all care activities
• Communicate effectively with families, staff, and external health providers
• Identify and report risks to the Facility Manager
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Standards and organisational policies
• Drive continuous quality improvement and stakeholder satisfaction
• Implement and monitor infection control procedures
• Manage compliments, complaints, and feedback professionally
• Contribute to budgetary oversight and safe workplace culture

Essential skills and attributes (selection criteria)

• Registered Division 1 Nurse with current National Practicing Registration
• Two years' experience post completion of graduate year
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing large teams
• Excellent problem-solving and care planning skills
• Experience in clinical and staff management of a unit/facility
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and is self-motivated
• Proficient with computerised documentation systems and records
• Experience in residential aged care setting
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team
• The candidate must be available to work across evening and night shifts as part of the facility's care schedule.
