About the Role

Join Seton Villa as a part-time HR Advisor /Generalist on an initial 12-month contract, working 30 hours per week with flexibility across the week. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will play a key role across employee relations, recruitment, WHS, policy, and workforce support.

You will join a small People and Culture team of 3 within a collaborative support office and be well supported by an experienced Head of People and Culture. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing people matters, and contributing to a positive and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support employee relations matters, including investigations, meetings, and actions
  • Coach managers through day-to-day people matters and provide practical HR advice
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection including position and roster changes
  • Provide SCHADS Award interpretation, including roster consultation support
  • Coordinate WHS matters, including workers compensation, and lead WHS committee meetings
  • Update policies and procedures and provide advice to employees and managers
  • Support broader People and Culture initiatives and compliance requirements

About you

  • 3+ years’ HR experience, ideally in a generalist role
  • Knowledge of the SCHADS Award
  • Understanding of WHS principles and systems
  • Experience in employee relations and disciplinary case management
  • Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and exposure to HRIS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
