Who is Seed?

Seed is Australia’s first Indigenous youth-led climate network. We’re building a movement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people for climate justice.

Our vision is for strong and connected young mob empowered to protect Country, culture and communities from climate change. We know that when First Nations people are the decision-makers on matters that impact us and Country, everyone benefits.

The Role

This is a volunteer position. All expenses associated with the role, such as travel, are covered by Seed.

As the Treasurer, you’ll guide Seed’s Board on financial strategy, governance and accountability, making sure our resources are managed responsibly and transparently to fuel the fight for climate justice.

This role is about more than budgets, it’s about making sure our money works to protect Country, support First Nations leadership, and sustain our movement for the long haul.

If you bring skills in accounting, finance or resource management but don’t yet have Board-level experience, we’d still love to hear from you. At Seed, we invest in people and support new leaders to grow.
