No day is the same in Save the Children Australia'sMurrumbidgee Family Connect and Support Program, which provides community-based information and referral advice for families with children aged 0-18 years. We are looking for an experienced Intake and Assessment Worker to join our FCS team in Wagga Wagga or Griffith. This integral role will build and develop awareness of the FCS across the region, provide a warm and welcoming public face for the FCS, and support the team to identify and assess the presenting level of need and make referrals to appropriate service providers. Your superb networking skills will help to build strong referral pathways for families who find it challenging to navigate the service system.

In this part time, fixed term position (19 hours per week through to end December 2023), based in Wagga Wagga or Griffith (with the option to work from home), you will work with referrers to gather and assess information and identify appropriate referral pathways to ensure families receive the support they need at the time they need it. You will report to the Team Leader and work closely with several Family Support Workers and rotational opportunities may be available across these roles.
