Where you come in:

In this newly-created full-time, permanent position, based in our Brisbane office, you will enable the scaling of our impact through careful management of a globally dispersed team of publishing specialists for digital and print format publications. Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer, you will drive the production of thousands of funded new titles, leverage your strong networks in the publishing world to increase our list and overall sales, improve our return on investment and, ultimately, drive impact of our vision.

You will make an impact by:

  • Delivering the exponential growth of our lists, producing thousands of new titles for our multi-lingual list of culturally diverse and age appropriate illustrated children's books and educational resources
  • Identifying, negotiating and securing high-value relationships with key partners
  • Creating new products, improving existing products and digitising and scaling systems and processes
  • Working cross-functionally to achieve and exceed production, revenue and beneficiary impact targets
  • Developing and managing commercially sound budgets

Critically, you're determined to deliver better educational outcomes for children all around the globe.

This role requires:

  • A highly experienced educational publishing sector lead, who thrives in a disruptive, role and growing organisation with a mandate for delivering ambitious goals and far-reaching impact
  • Experience managing publishing operations in international contexts (or similar complexity)
  • Proven ability to set and achieve bold goals in a fast-growing organisation
  • Experience with a digital-first approach to publishing, including distribution and licensing
  • An understanding of educational content and literacy attainment in low-literacy environments
  • (Ideally) Tertiary qualifications in the field of Creative Industries, Editing, Publishing or Business
