In Bowen, Save the Children provides critical support to vulnerable families.Working in our supported playgroup program and in group settings such as parenting workshops, you'll provide much-needed professional support to families with complex needs. In this part-time, fixed term position (26 hours per week, until 30 June 2021, with strong potential for extension), you'll co-ordinate the planning, implementation and review of culturally appropriate developmental play and learning experiences for children. You will provide support and information to parents on developmental issues and make appropriate referrals to other health, education and welfare agencies. You'll develop strong local community networks and be an enthusiastic advocate for the program. Based in Bowen, you'll be part of our North Queensland programs team and report to the Team Leader.
