What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Head of People and Culture that is ready to lead the People and Culture function and manage a small but mighty (and fun) team!

Working in a hybrid fashion, this role can be based out of either SANE’s Sydney or Melbourne office.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Head of People and Culture who will:

  • Lead the People and Culture team (4 people), ensuring that all team members are engaged and supported, and are working collaboratively to delivery on the People and Culture workplan
  • Partner with the Service Delivery branch on workforce planning, change management, and employee case management
  • Work with the Safety Advisor to create a safety-first culture at SANE and improve the safety prevention and management of our front-line workforce
  • Coach and support people leaders and employees in developing their leadership and management capabilities

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Management or other relevant disciplines
  • Demonstrated experience working as a senior business partner or HR manager
  • Supportive and empowering management style, with enthusiasm to mentor and coach junior team members
  • A “can do”, friendly attitude
  • Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, employment legislation, and experience in interpreting and applying awards, agreements, policies, procedures and other industrial instruments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong attention to detail
