About us:

Refuge Victoria (currently rebranding from Safe Futures Foundation) is a not-for-profit specialist family violence organisation that provides refuge/crisis accommodation to women and children escaping family violence. We are the largest provider of family violence refuge accommodation in Victoria with 3 core and cluster refuges, 15 crisis properties and nomination rights to 35 transitional houses. We support people experiencing homelessness from family violence, providing refuge and crisis accommodation, risk assessment and case management support and outreach case management support to clients in transitional properties and/or private rental.

The role:

For this newly created role we are looking for someone who can drive marketing, communication, and branding initiatives. The role will support the implementation of our organisation’s new name, brand, website, and promotional documentation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our friendly team in a part-time contract role until 30 June 2022 for 16 hours per week (work can be across various days) with the likelihood that it will continue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the final stages and launch of our organisation’s new website
  • Build the organisation’s social media presence, starting with LinkedIn
  • Produce online communication materials such as website content, EDM and quarterly e- newsletters
  • Oversee the implementation of new branding across internal documentation
  • Work with key stakeholders to coordinate the content and delivery of traditional and digital marketing materials including brochures and the annual report
  • Develop social media and marketing plan
  • Assist key stakeholders with other administration marketing support as required.

You will need:

  • A degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related discipline; or similar experience in a professional setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively apply these across a range of target audiences and channels
  • Experience with Wordpress; Adobe Creative Suite or other design software; MailChimp, Gravity Forms or similar
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to be solutions focused
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work within a team or autonomously.
