ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

The South Australian Council of Social Service (SACOSS) is the independent peak body for the non-government health and community services sector in South Australia. For nearly 80 years, we have been working to eliminate poverty, inequality and injustice through advocacy, policy development, sector leadership and community engagement.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will play a central role in delivering communications and campaigning activity that supports our advocacy and policy priorities. The successful candidate will: 

  • Support the development and delivery of SACOSS advocacy campaigns
  • Create engaging digital content that motivates participation and action
  • Manage SACOSS social media channels, website and email communications
  • Support campaign events and key advocacy moments
  • Monitor digital performance and report on outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, member organisations and people with lived experience 

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for candidates with: 

  • Experience in digital communications, campaigning or advocacy communications 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience creating and managing content across social media, websites and email platforms 
  • Experience using products such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and Hootsuite 
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills 
  • Commitment to the mission and values of SACOSS
