About the role!

Richmond Wellbeing is in a unique position where we are implementing Psychological Services and require the skills and mindset of an outstanding Clinical Psychologist Lead. Richmond Wellbeing is seeking a compassionate, recovery focused and well-rounded Clinical Psychologist to join our supportive and strong team based in Cannington. This person will have a great balance of clinical and business acumen, ensuring the following:

  • Maintain a case load to ensure clinical skills remain relevant and current.
  • Accountability for clinical performance (e.g., quality control, regulatory standards, patient satisfaction/experience, scheduling, budgeting, and billing).
  • Ability to support a variety of clients, including RW residential clients and RW NDIS clients.
  • Mentor clinicians.
  • Maintain compliance with established governmental regulations, health care industry requirements/standards, policies and procedures, safety, environmental and infection control, codes, and requirements of accreditation agencies.
  • Consistently audit the standard Operational and Clinical processes to identify and remediate areas of poor performance.
  • Support RW to implement Psychological services across a range of clientele and areas.

The RW Clinical Psychologist will support the implementation of Psychological services and manage the service delivery framework through a range of activities, including:

  • Co-develop, implement, and monitor the Richmond Wellbeing Psychological Service Framework.
  • Clinical supervision and support for Registrars, Provisional Psychologists, Clinical Lead team and generally registered Psychologists.
  • Supporting in building referral pathways.
  • Oversee case allocation and service delivery wait lists.
  • Training and professional development in line with the People and Culture team and PD in-line with regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure that data collection methods and service reporting are compliant, high quality and timely.

This role is full time.

About you

In addition to excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, to effectively liaise, consult and negotiate with a wide variety of people including patients, GP’s, Psychiatrists, allied health staff and other stakeholders, the following qualifications, skills and experience are essential:

  • Master’s degree in Clinical / Counselling Psychology, coupled with a specialist AHPRA registration,
  • Full registration with relevant regulatory bodies: AHPRA, APA etc
  • NDIS Workers screening
  • MBS provider number – Richmond Wellbeing can support you to obtain this.
  • Experience in the delivery of mental health services, experience in providing psychological counselling / interventions to individuals and groups.
  • High level of written communication in writing mental health care reports and supporting plans and case notes.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management acumen in a community service context,
  • Demonstrated expertise in policy development and implementation, inclusive of the development of service standards and continuous improvement measures,
  • Strong relationships with key clinical and service specific stakeholders and funders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and individually with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience in and understanding the principles of confidentiality, particularly in relation to the handling of patient information.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to formulate and utilise outcome measurement tools.
