Business Intelligence and Insights Lead

Richmind WA

It takes courage.

It takes courage to ask better questions.

To look beyond the numbers and uncover the story they tell.

To build systems that help people make better decisions and ultimately create better outcomes for the community.

At Richmind WA, we're transforming mental health services across Western Australia, and we're looking for a Business Intelligence & Insights Lead who wants their work to have real impact.

This isn't a traditional reporting role.

It's an opportunity to shape how one of WA's leading mental health organisations uses data to improve lives.

Job Description

Why this role matters

Every day, our teams support people experiencing mental health challenges, homelessness and psychosocial disability. Across those services, we collect valuable information about outcomes, recovery journeys and operational performance.

Your role is to turn that information into meaningful insight.

You'll work alongside service leaders, executives and frontline teams to answer the questions that matter most:

  • What's making the biggest difference for our consumers?
  • Where can we improve service delivery?
  • How do we make better decisions backed by evidence?

The dashboards, models and reporting frameworks you build won't just sit on a screen, they'll help shape the future of mental wellbeing services in WA.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead the development of Richmind WA's business intelligence capability by:

  • Designing intuitive dashboards and reporting environments.
  • Building scalable data models and automated reporting solutions.
  • Leading reporting for our Outcome Measurement Framework.
  • Partnering with leaders to turn business questions into practical insights.
  • Improving data accessibility and self-service analytics across the organisation.
  • Helping build a culture where data informs decisions at every level.

You'll have the opportunity to influence our future analytics environment and explore emerging technologies that help us continually evolve.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You're naturally curious and enjoy finding patterns others might miss.

You can move comfortably between technical detail and strategic conversation, translating complex data into stories that people understand and act on.

You'll bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Power BI.
  • Advanced SQL and data modelling capability.
  • Experience designing and delivering end-to-end reporting solutions.
  • A passion for automation and improving efficiency.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience within health, community services, NDIS or outcome measurement frameworks will be highly regarded, but what matters most is your ability to help people use data to make better decisions.
  • A current working with Children Check
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • A valid Driver’s licence
