We are looking for dedicated Accommodation Support Lead to join our SIL teams. With a variety of shifts available, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, we need staff who are adaptable and willing to work across different time slots. Full availability across daytime and evenings is required to include active overnight and inactive overnight shifts.

The Accommodation Support Lead is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support within accommodation services for individuals with complex needs. This role provides day-to-day leadership to support staff, ensures safe and effective service delivery, and promotes positive outcomes for participants through trauma-informed, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented practice.

The Accommodation Support Lead works closely with participants, families, guardians, allied health professionals, and internal stakeholders to ensure support is tailored, responsive, and aligned with individual care plans, behavioural support strategies, and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of accommodation supports for participants with complex behavioural, psychosocial, mental health, forensic, medical, or disability-related needs.
  • Ensure supports are delivered in a safe, respectful, person-centred, and culturally responsive manner.
  • Monitor the implementation of individual support plans, behaviour support plans, risk assessments, and health management plans.
  • Respond effectively to incidents, crises, and escalations, using sound judgement and de-escalation strategies.
  • Support participants to build independence, life skills, community participation, and stability in their living environment.

Key Selection Criteria Essential

  • Relevant qualification in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting people with complex needs in accommodation, residential, disability, mental health, or community services settings.
  • Strong understanding of person-centred practice, trauma-informed care, positive behaviour support, and risk management.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating staff in a frontline service environment.
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-pressure or crisis situations.
