Safe and sustainable housing begins with people and is strengthened through consistent, recovery-oriented support. Based in either the West Moreton Ipswich or Darling Downs Toowoomba region, the Team Leader (Homelessness) provides leadership, supervision, and operational oversight for the IRHP team across both locations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and living with mental health challenges.

The role supports staff performance, coordinates service delivery, and maintains strong stakeholder relationships aligned with program requirements. By guiding and mentoring Recovery Support Workers, you will strengthen quality, consistency, and confidence in practice across the service while supporting positive wellbeing and housing outcomes for participants.

Your day will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day delivery of housing and psychosocial supports across the West Moreton / Ipswich region
  • Providing leadership, supervision, mentoring, and practice guidance to Recovery Support Workers
  • Supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to access and sustain safe, appropriate housing
  • Embedding trauma-informed, and strengths-based practice across the service
  • Supporting teams to respond to complexity, emerging risk, and changing participant needs
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with housing providers, clinical services, and community stakeholders
  • Overseeing documentation, reporting, service quality, and continuous improvement activities

You Will Need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in mental health, community services, or homelessness settings, with a strong understanding of recovery-oriented practice
  • Ability to supervise staff, manage complex situations, and build effective stakeholder relationships
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
