Your Next Role!

Looking for more than just a job? This is your opportunity to walk alongside people as they build confidence, independence, and a life that feels meaningful to them.

We’re searching for a compassionate, motivated, and reliable Support Worker to join our Wide Bay NDIS team based in Maryborough. In this rewarding role, you’ll support people to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve personal goals, whether that’s learning new life skills, accessing the community, or simply having someone in their corner who truly cares.

No two days are the same. One moment you might be supporting someone to attend a community activity, the next you could be helping them gain confidence with everyday tasks or celebrating a milestone they once thought impossible. Every interaction is an opportunity to create impact.

At RFQ, we believe support work is about more than care. It’s about connection, empowerment, dignity, and helping people feel seen, heard, and valued. You’ll be part of a supportive team that genuinely lives these values every day.

This role includes weekend work, offering variety, flexibility, and the chance to be there for clients when support matters most.

  • Help clients work towards greater independence, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Build meaningful, trusting relationships that create safe and positive experiences
  • Contribute to a supportive team culture grounded in compassion, respect, resilience, and empowerment
  • Maintain accurate records using digital systems and mobile technologies
  • Work collaboratively with your team and participate in meetings, supervision, and ongoing development
  • Respond flexibly to client and roster needs while providing consistent, reliable support
  • Identify and report risks, incidents, and opportunities for improvement to ensure quality care outcomes

What You’ll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience supporting people living with mental illness, with the ability to build trust, provide quality support, and help clients work towards their goals
  • Qualifications in a human services related field such as a Certificate IV in Mental Health, Diploma, or equivalent will be highly regarded
  • A genuine passion for empowering people and making a positive difference in their everyday lives
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to work respectfully with clients, families, and colleagues
  • Confidence using mobile devices and digital systems for record keeping and communication
  • Ability to work positively within a team environment while also managing responsibilities independently

Why RFQ?
