Given the short-term intensive outreach nature of this service opportunity, in either Katherine or Tennant Creek, an important first phase of the work will require the RSSS team (of which this role is a part of) to be networking and liaising with stakeholders & the local community, as well as the provision of information sessions on the RSSS & National Redress Scheme.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Experience in providing case management & support to clients, specifically Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide flexible responses to emerging needs of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander clients
  • Capacity in stakeholder & community engagement, including the delivery of information to stakeholders and/or community groups
  • Experience in working with individuals where complex trauma has been experienced
  • Ability to work & communicate effectively with a wide range of people from different cultural backgrounds & to respond sensitively & appropriately to people in a variety of situations

Requirements:

Applicants will require an NT Drivers Licence, extensive screening, referee checks, identity check, Ochre Card and Criminal History check.
