Reground is a waste education service committed to changing behaviour around waste. We believe waste is a resource. We collect coffee, chaff, and soft plastics from cafes, offices, retail stores, and roasteries in Melbourne and we are actively engaged in changing the systems around waste both through applied solutions and advocacy work. We have diverted over 560,000 kilos of coffee from landfill to community and home gardeners and helped businesses move closer to being waste-free. We are a small and impactful team, excited to introduce a skilled and energetic Collections Manager to the team.
Reground is looking for an enthusiastic Collection and Account Manager to join Reground and help take our collections of coffee, chaff, and soft plastics to the next level.
At Reground we work 4 days per week, we believe this creates healthier, happier people and better results. Our headquarters are in Alphington, sharing space with Melbourne Farmers Market, 3000acres, and Farmwall. This role is based mostly out of our office in Alphington and sometimes in other parts of Melbourne or at home. You will need to live in Melbourne to be considered for this role.
The Collection and Account Manager will oversee Reground’s weekly collections and deliveries, manage our depot including all of our machinery in Alphington, onboard and maintain Reground clients and as a start take on the role of part-time Reground driver. Having a full understanding of the Reground service and relationships we have is crucial and you can only do this by being a Reground driver. You will be proficient at driving the van as well as maintaining relationships and bring your past experience to the job of managing and optimising Reground’s operations. After a tough 2020, you will help get Reground’s collections back on their feet, making it better than it was and help us grow this model to other parts of the country. You will be a disciplined and efficient worker who is committed to the cause.
We currently collect coffee, chaff, and soft plastics from over 80 venues every week, delivering to community gardens, home gardeners, and local plastics recyclers. Attention to detail, seeing opportunities and communication are key in this role. You will be a good multi-tasker that can adjust to a new situation fast - whether that be a new stop on the collection run, a left-of-field request from a customer, changes to the run schedule, managing expectations with a smile is a natural state for you.
This role will require you to be flexible and ready to jump in for what is needed.
We look forward to hearing from you
