About the Company

We are partnering with ARC Victoria who is a mental health services organisation that provides support, recovery, early intervention and educational services to people and families living with anxiety disorders to people of all ages and backgrounds within the community. They have been operating for 30 years and are comprised of a small permanent workforce with a large volunteer base.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, the Clinical Psychologist will be part of a dynamic response team to assist with triage, diagnosis and determine the nature of specialised support required. This position provides an opportunity to provide clinical services to people living with various levels of anxiety and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and to provide a suite of supporting psychoeducational programs assisting with the individual’s recovery journey. This includes undertaking assessments and ongoing care in accordance with best practice and clinical guidelines for the treatment of various anxiety disorders.

To be successful in this role, you will.

• Provide psychological support to clients which may include administration and interpretation of the SCID, PAI or other psychometric scales.
• Provision and documentation of mental health assessments, including completion of mental state examination, case formulations and individual treatment planning.
• Facilitate groups and training across ARCVic’s Workshop and Seminar Program.
• Participate in the development and review of programs as required.
• Developing, implementing and evaluating appropriate recovery approaches and treatment plans for each person, in collaboration with the person, families and members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical supervision to ARCVic staff and volunteers. Provide written documentation to referring GPs, as required to be compliant with Medicare & TPS conditions and comply with internal policies and procedures.

We are looking for:

Essential

• Current registration with AHPRA
• Appropriate recognised qualifications in Psychology
• Endorsement in Clinical Psychology
• Experience delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy generally and Exposure Therapy specifically
• Registration and experience as an approved supervisor is desirable
• Experience in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is desirable
• Exceptional time management and communication skills

Desired

• A passion for participating in mental health community-based projects around mental health especially anxiety disorders and well being.
• Demonstrated experience with evaluation and analysis of client feedback and of reporting on results to management and external organisation.
• Drive and ability to encourage, support and work with a team comprised of professionals, staff, students, volunteers and people with anxiety disorders and carers.
