I am a social and creative young woman who enjoys the company of others, currently looking for a savvy Supports Facilitator, with whom I share interests, to assist my family and I to coordinate my daily life. I have a keen interest in utilising my skills and talents to develop a successful and sustainable micro business.

This role will be focused on ensuring supports are provided in a way that transforms goals into actions while reflecting my strengths, needs and interests within a person-centred framework.

You will liaise and coordinate the day to day, including research and linking to activities and services in the community. You will facilitate the exploration of opportunities and gather additional resources to continue to progress and meet and refine the goals that have been established. The role will have a developmental focus which will require the implementation of relevant feedback and reporting against progress achieved.

Experience or a solid understanding of what it takes to develop and maintain a micro business would be highly regarded.

You will be working directly with me as well as leading, mentoring and developing other members of my support team.

Hours

Hours of employment will be reflective of my needs at any given time, however an average of 6-8 hours per week is anticipated to begin with, with potential to grow over time.

Qualities

You’d consider yourself a skilled and experienced professional with a flair for administration and an ability to source creative options and solutions. You couple this with exceptional communication which sees a track record of successful leadership and development within a team. You are agile and sensitive to the needs of others which will allow you to navigate effortlessly between the family, individual and team as you facilitate positive momentum towards the goals that are in place.

An interest in baking, arts/crafts, singing and making music videos would be of benefit. A love of animals and dogs is a must!

Requirements

To be successful within the role you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with people with a disability and their family.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in developing local community networks and providing NDIS funded supports.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and experience in leading and managing others.
  • Good time management, organisational and problem-solving skills including flexibility to provide support to members of the team.
  • Capacity to work from your own home, providing own resources and equipment required including phone, internet and computer.
  • Have an ABN or willingness to obtain.
  • Drivers licence and Road worthy vehicle.
  • Current First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain. Experience and/or training in epilepsy management would be highly regarded.
  • Current positive notice for working with vulnerable people or willingness to obtain.
  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent desired.
