RedR Australia is a leading international humanitarian response agency that selects, trains and deploys technical specialists throughout the disaster cycle around the world. We are a member of the UN Standby Partnership (UNSBP) and have deployment agreements with 15 United Nations agencies and entities, as well as other frontline relief agencies and local governments.
During humanitarian crises, we provide additional surge support through the deployment of highly skilled technical specialists. We maintain a humanitarian roster of more than 1,000 experts across a range of sectors and disciplines.
RedR Australia is seeking an experienced Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Programme Specialist for a surge deployment with UNFPA in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), supporting the ongoing Ebola response in Beni.
Working within a complex humanitarian and public health emergency, the SRH Programme Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the continuity and scale-up of life-saving sexual and reproductive health services for affected populations, particularly women and girls. The role will support the implementation of the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP), coordinate SRH interventions with humanitarian partners, and strengthen the integration of SRH, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), and Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP).
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior humanitarian professional with strong technical expertise, coordination experience, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency response environment.
