Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation with no religious affiliations. Our vision is for positive, respectful, safe and fulfilling relationships for all Australians. For more than 75 years, we have been delivering high quality family and relationship support services, and we now support more than 20,000 clients every year. We have over 400 dedicated employees working from 21 centres across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
The Gippsland Youth Enhanced Service (YES) will provide enhanced support to young people 12-25 years of age who are living with, or at risk of severe and complex mental health issues, and who require a greater level of support than what can be provided by GPs, private clinicians, headspace services and school counsellors. Often referred to as the system’s ‘missing middle’, the needs of this cohort of young people are typically considered to be too complex to be met by the primary mental health care system, but not acute enough for the tertiary mental health system. The program will include holistic and high-quality mental health and psycho-social supports that will be continuously adapted to meet the changing needs of young people.
Reporting to the Youth Mental Health Clinician provides comprehensive assessments, collaborative care planning, and evidence-based mental health interventions for young people using a young person-centred approach. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role involves recognising and responding to risk, building strong therapeutic relationships, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver holistic, integrated, and outcomes-focused care in line with the headspace model of care and Relationships Australia Victoria policies and procedures.
This role is located at Traralgon and is temporary, part-time role (0.8EFT), working four (4) days per week with the expectation that one day per week will be an evening shift. The base salary range is $98,027 - $100,792 (pro-rata) per annum.
