About headspace:

Reporting to the Centre Manager, you'll become part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting young people aged 12–25 on their mental health journey. As one of the first points of contact at headspace, you'll build meaningful relationships while providing screening, assessments, referrals, brief interventions, and care coordination tailored to each young person's needs. You'll confidently undertake comprehensive risk assessments and implement appropriate strategies to promote safety and wellbeing. Working collaboratively with the clinical team, you'll actively contribute to case discussions and clinical supervision, helping deliver high-quality, evidence-based care that empowers young people to thrive.

This role is located at Sale and is an ongoing, part-time position (0.8FTE) working four (4) days per week with the expectation that one day per week will be an evening shift. The base salary range is $98,027 - $100,792 (pro-rata) per annum.

About you

  • Degree in, social work, psychology, counselling or a related discipline that provides a sound understanding and knowledge of assessing and working with young people at risk.
  • Experience in screening activities to determine client needs, and to assist clients to access appropriate services.
  • Experience in the youth and/or mental health sector.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or current full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (desirable).
