About the role

Reporting to Senior Manager Southern Melbourne, your responsibilities include providing high-quality, culturally sensitive relationship counselling and therapeutic support to individuals, couples and families under the FaRS program. This includes applying expertise in childhood development and family dynamic to address a range of issues such as trauma, family violence, separating, while maintaining a strong child-focused and systematic approach. Additionally, this role involves working collaboratively within a team to meet client needs in an evidence-based, outcomes-focused manner.

This role is located at Cranbourne and is part-time, temporary until June 2026 working four (4) days per week. The base salary range is $98,027 - $105,084 (pro-rata) per annum.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in social work, counselling, family therapy or psychology, with at least three years of experience in family counselling or services.
  • Strong skills in applying therapeutic modalities and interventions when working with individuals, couples and families.
  • Ability to assess and respond to family violence, using appropriate assessment tools and maintaining a client and safety-focused approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective professional relationships and maintain clear, accurate case notes and documentation.
