headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers core areas including mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services. Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is the lead agency for headspace Wonthaggi which is governed by a consortium of local community organisations who provide expertise, support and advice to RAV.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Community Engagement Officer is responsible for promoting headspace services and improving early access to health and wellbeing supports for young people. This involves engaging with young people, families, schools, and community stakeholders, delivering health promotion initiatives and community events, increasing awareness of youth mental health, facilitating youth and family participation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accessible, youth-focused, evidence-based services that meet community needs.
This role is located at Wonthaggi and is a casual position. The hourly rate is $66.69 inclusive of casual loading.
