What you'll do

As a Team Leader, Counselling, you will lead the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples and families, while supporting and developing a team of counsellors. This role combines hands-on clinical work with leadership, offering the opportunity to influence practice, mentor clinicians and drive strong client outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver evidence-based counselling to individuals, couples and families to improve relationships, communication and wellbeing
  • Work with complex client presentations, including domestic and family violence, mental health and child safety concerns
  • Apply a family systems approach, integrating a range of therapeutic models
  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching and training to a team of counsellors

The Details

  • Maximum-Term Contract 12-months
  • Full time (working 5 days a week)
  • Working Pattern: Includes a 10am–6pm shift to support evening service delivery
  • Location: Illawara
  • Salary: Approx $59.50 per hour + 12% super + 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900. (Increase your take home pay! Calculate Your Savings at https://www.salary.com.au/calculate-your-savings)

What You’ll Bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in counselling (minimum 5 years full-time or equivalent clinical hours)
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision, coaching and team leadership
  • Strong capability in trauma-informed practice and working with individuals, couples and families
