Marketing and Engagement Coordinator

RALAC Inc

ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

Ringwood Area Lions Aged Care Inc (RALAC) is a small independent NFP providing affordable housing and residential aged care to 130+ elderly or vulnerable people in our community.

We are one of seven specialist homeless residential aged care providers in Victoria which means we care for many people with a background of homelessness, insecure housing, or social and financial disadvantage. We’re also anchored to our Mission of providing housing and care to the elderly and most vulnerable in our community.

We think we’re a pretty fantastic organisation to work for. Our staff turnover is almost zero, we look after our staff and pay well, and we keep things efficient and professional whilst remaining as informal and relaxed as possible. People enjoy working and volunteering with us because of our supportive and friendly organisational culture.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our inaugural Marketing and Engagement Coordinator will work closely with our CEO to improve RALAC’s outreach and influence. Historically our marketing and branding has been done on a bit of a shoestring off the side of the CEO's desk. Our comms are warm and professional, sometimes witty and generally informal but also occassionally a little bit amateurish and uncoordinated. To fix this, we are recruiting our inaugural Marketing and Engagement Coordinator to take our communications and create something magnificent! We have a great story to tell but we need a skilled Marketing and Engagement Coordinator to help us do that.

The Postion Desciption attached has all the details about our exciting role. But in essence the driving purpose of our inaugural Marketing and Engagement Coordinator is to help our small independent NFP create brand awareness and achieve some very big goals. Yep, it’s a multifaceted role touching on marketing, communication and brand strategy; stakeholder engagement; digital marketing; and philanthropy and fundraising.

The person we are looking for will be an easy-to-work-with communications professional. You will also:

  • hold a bachelor’s degree (or be working towards same) in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field
  • bring five to seven years of experience in marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement (preferably in the aged care, health, homelessness, or the social support sectors.)
  • have experience in developing and implementing engagement strategies, philanthropic programs, fundraising campaigns, or community engagement initiatives.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

In additon to a competitive salary (circa $40 ph plus supa), our inaugural Marketing and Engagement Coordinator will enjoy:

  • generous salary packaging arrangements (because we are a NFP charitable entity)
  • family friendly part-time working hours (negotiated based on 0.4 EFT, though we might start will more hours initially.)
  • hybrid working arrangements (a mix of working in the Ringwood office and working from home)
  • clear achievable targets and lots of autonomy
  • a supportive relationship with our CEO, Exec Team and staff .
