Your new role

  • Full time (or Part time 30hrs), ongoing
  • Located at Wagga Wagga, NSW. Relocation assistance will be provided to the successful applicant.
  • Annual Salary between $103,579.91 to $109,561.91

The Senior Clinician is a key support for the Clinical and Community Programs (CCP) team. As part of the leadership team, the Senior Clinician works with the Manager to support clinical governance in service provision and reduce barriers for people accessing services.The Senior Clinician leads clinical quality improvement discussions and activities, including assessing and managing clinical risk.

Duties

In consultation with the Manager, the Senior Clinician is responsible for:

  • Collaborate with CCP practitioners to ensure clients' needs are central to services.
  • Lead quality improvement across programs (intake, screening, counselling, etc.) to improve service delivery.
  • Provide leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team to manage caseloads effectively and meet contract requirements, fostering resilience and wellbeing within the team.
  • Collaborate with the Manager and Director to support clinical governance and service excellence.
  • Undertake clinical work and group facilitation as needed, contributing to the development of the vision for future clinical and community programs, including new care models.

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Appropriate experience and qualification in the field of Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling or Social Science. Current registration/membership with at least one of the following: Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and Level 2 or above Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
  2. Demonstrated practice leadership of a multidisciplinary team to implement quality improvement measures.
  3. Ability to demonstrate a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, in particular the use of systemic therapies, with relevant experience and skills, to deliver individual and relationship counselling, family therapy, mental health interventions, trauma approaches, working with children and young people, group work and educative programs.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of the drivers, contributing factors, assessment, and risk management relevant to family and domestic violence, and knowledge or experience in working with mental health issues, addictions, disabilities and the use of trauma informed practice.
