Your new role

  • Full time ​​Permanent, ongoing ​based in Wagga Wagga
  • ​​Annual Salary between $80,006.68 to  $85,798.44, plus Superannuation, NFP Salary Packaging, Paid Christmas closure and other generous leave provisions under our Enterprise Agreement.

The role of this position is to oversee the supervised visits and changeovers of children with their separated parents ensuring the safety of clients and other staff members.

Duties

Under the supervision of the CCS Coordinator and Post Separation Services Leadership:

  • Facilitate changeover and supervised visiting sessions of clients;
  • Facilitate play, observe interactions, and support children and parents
  • Observe child/parent interactions and record observations in the client’s file;
  • Undertake age-appropriate activities for clients using the centre;
  • Set up for and clean up after contact service activities.

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. A minimum Certificate IV qualification in youth work, early childhood education and care, community services, family support, child and family studies or a related field, and/or demonstrated relevant experience in a child, youth or family support setting.
  2. Excellent observational, communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact sensitively with a diverse range of people.
  3. Sensitivity to the needs of children and have an understanding of child development.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  5. Sound computer literacy and demonstrated ability in data entry.
