THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an early-career Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team in Sydney.
This is a full-time role, with a flexible working arrangement of three days in the Sydney CBD office and two days from home. This is a hands-on development role, with opportunities to build capability across multiple areas of marketing and communications.
Experience and salary: This role is well suited to an early-career professional looking to build their skills across digital communications, content and campaigns within an international, Pacific-focused organisation. The role offers a salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Support delivery of PTI Australia’s social media content, including drafting posts, scheduling and basic analytics tracking.
- Contribute to written content across newsletters, website updates, reports and campaigns.
- Assist in coordinating the Pacific Focus newsletter and other publications.
- Support digital campaigns and stakeholder communications, including eDMs.
- Maintain website and CRM content with guidance from the team.
- Track media coverage and assist with reporting.
- Provide support in the delivery of events (virtual and in-person), including communications and follow-up.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- An early-career professional.
- Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Confidence using social media and digital platforms.
- An openness to learning about artificial intelligence and its role in modern communications practice, with a willingness to develop your understanding alongside the organisation as PTI Australia embraces new technologies.
- A proactive, organised approach and willingness to learn.
- Interest in international business, trade, or the Pacific region.
- Comfort working across cultures and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience or understanding of the Pacific Islands region is highly regarded.
