Our mission is to seek out areas of social need and policy failure and make transformational change using design and technology. We believe that government, organisations and businesses can be forces for good. But there’s a gap in their understanding of, and ability to meet, the expectations of those in need of positive change. Our job is to use design and technology to narrow the gap between those with the power and responsibility to make a positive change, and those who need it.
As a Lead Technical Business Analyst, you play a leading role in delivering our projects successfully by bringing your deep expertise and experience to work with stakeholders and technical team members to map, analyse and document business processes and projects. You have strong strategic thinking and problem solving capabilities along with excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively translate strategic business goals and requirements into a cohesive roadmap and vision for clients. Your job is also to provide expert guidance on tools, methodologies and frameworks as related to business analyst discipline. You are a true expert and the person within the business who has the answers, or knows where to find them, regarding all technical matters, and you can work independently on projects with little guidance.
You use this expertise for three key purposes; to independently deliver great work, to help improve the quality of the work we deliver, and to grow technical expertise by bringing in new ideas and approaches. While you do not manage people directly, you are responsible for reviewing their work and providing respectful feedback that improves the work itself, and contributes to their development.
The indicative salary range for this role is between $115,000 - $140,000 (excluding super), depending on your level of experience.
At Portable, a diversity of experiences, identities and cultures is crucial to the inherent creativity, empathy and innovation required for us to deliver on our mission. We often tackle projects that allow us the space to build alternative approaches to the work and be informed by the communities we are in service of. This means that we are constantly questioning, updating and improving our approaches to project delivery.
We encourage people from diverse communities, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, to apply for this role and bring their unique professional, personal and cultural approaches to the wider practices within the studio. You will be welcomed and encouraged to grow and develop your professional experience and skills, supported by a team aspiring to do the same.
Please note all staff are currently working remotely but when restrictions change we will be based back at 5 Easey Street, Collingwood.
