The Family Systems Hub: Transforming Families, One Generation at a Time.
After nearly five years of helping children and families across Australia, Play Therapy Hub has evolved into The Family Systems Hub. While play therapy remains a core offering, we now embrace a broader approach to healing, growth, and self-mastery within the family system.
Our Mission: To heal and transform relationships within the family system, ensuring each generation becomes more conscious, emotionally aware, and connected.
Our Vision: To foster healthy, fulfilling and meaningful lives by considering the systemic and cultural influences impacting each family member, rooted in our ancestral heritage.
We empower and support children and parents to cultivate self-worth, emotional and social intelligence, and unlock their full potential.
Join us in our mission to create positive change within the family dynamic.
We are a systemic child, adult and family therapy service offering integrated psychotherapy and coaching, child play therapy, attachment play therapy, filial family therapy, family constellation workshops, psychological astrology, and other holistic practices. Our goal is to elevate consciousness and facilitate the healing of childhood and intergenerational trauma.
As a versatile play therapist, you enjoy and feel confident working with parents, supporting them to be authentic and congruent in their parenting roles while working therapeutically with their children. You are also comfortable facilitating attachment based play therapy sessions with the parent-child dyad when needed.
Your primary responsibility will be providing in-person, child-focused, attachment-based play therapy with parent coaching support
Does the above sound too good to be true…?
We have regular discussions with our team around how we can work on consistently improving as a practice and team. Below is some feedback from some of our team members:
Tallara Drew Hazou, Play Therapist: “Working at The Family Systems Hub has been a life-changing experience. As a university graduate, I felt unsure about how I would fit in with the team. But the team at the Hub is like no other. They were welcoming and inclusive right from the start, and supported me to learn and grow at every opportunity. From chats in our breaks to social events, every conversation has been a learning opportunity. I am beyond grateful for the knowledge, expertise and kindness of the Play Therapy Hub team. I have learnt so much about myself as a person and as a Play Therapist. I can't imagine a more supportive team to work with and learn from. Thank you Helen, for creating such an incredible working environment.”
Candela, Provisional Play Therapist: “The Family Systems Hub has become in a short time a special place where I am growing not only professionally but also personally. Right from the start, I had ongoing support and I felt my ideas and background were welcomed and treasured. I love coming to work every day with amazing, collaborative, and warm colleagues who are deeply passionate about their job and helping others."
We invite applications from fully registered or associate-level play therapists with a minimum of 1 year of play therapy practice experience. Availability for weekday afternoons is required, with weekend availability highly desirable.
