Playground Ideas

About Us

Playground Ideas is a groundbreaking non-profit organisation that uses open source design to help communities all over the world create stimulating and creative play opportunities for their children. It does this by providing free online resources that support and teach communities to plan, design, build and maintain awesome play spaces using locally sourced and recycled materials.

Playground Ideas has to date supported communities in 143 countries to impact over 2.5 million children, and we are growing rapidly and diversifying the services that we provide, including working with schools and child care centres in Australia and globally, to help maximise children's learning through their outdoor spaces.

In 2019 we launched a social enterprise, Nüdel Kart, a deconstructable, mobile play kart that can be reconfigured in endless ways to encourage self-directed learning. It contains research-backed specially selected materials to stimulate children’s development. Since then we have delivered globally and launched a follow up product called the Nüdel Rover.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced nimble team in an exciting time of post covid growth.

The foundations have been laid and we are on the road to scale, we need your passion, integrity and experience, to take us to the next level.
