- Contract Type: casual consultant
- Duration: Intending at least 6 months with potential for extension dependent on success
- Time Commitment: Approx. 4 hours per week (0.1 FTE) / Work from Home
- Rate: We are committed to competitive remuneration for this challenging role and will pay in line with publicly available market data for experience level and provide additional remuneration for performance in-role

Purpose of the Role
P&G Purpose is a registered not-for-profit organisation creating employment and inclusion pathways for refugees, displaced Australians, and asylum seekers. This newly created role supports the organisation’s volunteer engagement strategy by managing the volunteer team, empowering and facilitating their engagement with the various projects that they have undertaken.
Key Deliverables
- Facilitate the onboarding and induction of new volunteers
- Work with the P&G Marketing and Communications Officer to promote and attract new volunteers to the organisation
- Make it easy for our volunteers to deliver the impactful work that they want to do through the delegation and management of the various projects
- Facilitate a remote team environment that is engaging and that people want to return to
- Promotion of P&G Purpose programs (e.g., no-interest loans and skills training programs, Global Refugee Academy initiatives).
- Work with the volunteer team in the development of stories and posts.
- Project assistance: As time allows, assist project leads with the work that they need to deliver
- Time Commitment: Remote:
- Total of 4 hrs week
- The only fixed time is a 30 min volunteer scrum meeting from 8-8:30 every Friday morning (Sydney time)
Reporting and Communication
- Monthly check-in and update with the P&G Director
- Attendance at the Friday Scrum meetings
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in volunteer coordination /HR processes/project management.
- Outstanding communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills and follow-through.
- Understanding of refugee, inclusion, or social enterprise sectors is highly desirable.
- An understanding of fundraising is highly desirable.
- Excitement to meet more people who are invigorated by looking after the most overlooked members of society
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace

- Number of volunteers recruited
- % of volunteers retained
Preferred Qualifications-not essential
- 1-2 years in a an agile project manager role
- 1-2 years as a corporate recruitment/HR specialist, especially in a company with a high-proportion of non-Australian team members
