  • Contract Type: Casual consultant

  • Time Commitment: Approx. 4 hours per week (0.1 FTE) / Work from Home
  • Rate: We are committed to competitive remuneration for this challenging role and will pay in line with publicly available market data for experience level and provide additional remuneration for performance in-role
  • Location: Primarily Remote (with occasional virtual meetings)
  • Reports to: Director, Marketing, Purpose & Growth
  • Start Date: ASAP

P&G Purpose designs and delivers high-impact, low-barrier employment programs for communities facing exclusion. The organisation’s model blends scalable, cost-effective initiatives with bold, long-term ambitions for systemic change.

Purpose of the Role

P&G Purpose is a registered not-for-profit organisation creating employment and inclusion pathways for refugees, displaced Australians, and asylum seekers. This newly created role supports the organisation’s marketing and advocacy strategy by generating good news stories and news worthy posts that celebrate and acknowledge the journey of those that we support and the work that we do.

Key Deliverables

The role will prioritise four key areas:

  1. The creation and execution of a marketing plan that delivers a weekly post on all P&G socials (LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram) that captures the lived impact of our programs.
  2. Promotion of P&G Purpose programs (e.g., no-interest loans and skills training programs, Global Refugee Academy initiatives).
  3. Support and develop the various funding campaigns, be it continuous donations, project specific funding or grants and philanthropic funding applications.
  4. Work with the volunteer team in the development of stories and posts.

Reporting and Communication

  • Monthly check-in and update with the Marketing Director
  • Attendance at the Friday Scrum meetings

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience/studies in Marketing and social media.
  • Outstanding written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills and follow-through.
  • Understanding of refugee, inclusion, or social enterprise sectors is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of fundraising is highly desirable.
