The Electorate Officer will work closely with the Hon Cassy O’Connor MLC in managing her electorate office and will provide a high level of administration, research, community and parliamentary support. Confidentiality is paramount and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
The Parliament of Tasmania is a meeting place where elected representatives meet to make laws, authorise the expenditure of public funds, scrutinise the government of the day, and give a voice to their constituents in the electorates. The Parliament is made up of three (3) separate entities consisting of House of Assembly, Legislative Council, and Legislature General.
The Legislative Council is seeking a highly motivated and well-organised individual to assist the Member in her parliamentary and constituent duties as a point of contact within the electorate of Hobart.
