We are seeking an experienced and passionate HR Business Partner to join our People and Culture team and partner with leaders across our national operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager People and Culture, you will provide strategic and operational human resources support across a diverse, multi-state workforce. As a trusted advisor, you will partner with leaders to build capability, strengthen employee engagement, support organisational change and ensure compliant people practices.

This role offers the opportunity to influence workforce outcomes while contributing to a positive employee experience and supporting the delivery of high-quality services to children, young people and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational HR Business Partnering support to leaders across multiple programs and locations.
  • Coach and support leaders in employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Provide expert advice on employment legislation, industrial relations, award interpretation and organisational policies.
  • Support organisational change, workforce planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver workforce reporting and insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Manage complex employee relations matters including grievances, restructures and disciplinary processes.
  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to policy development, review and implementation.
  • Lead and participate in People and Culture projects that strengthen organisational capability and employee experience.

About You

You are an experienced HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships and influencing positive workforce outcomes. You have a strong background in employee and industrial relations and are comfortable operating in a complex, multi-site environment.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in a Human Resources Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Strong employee relations and industrial relations expertise.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards and HR best practice.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and leadership capability development.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience using HR systems and workforce reporting tools.
  • A current Australian Driver Licence.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain all required screening clearances, including a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
