Job Description

The Role

We are currently seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to work within the Fundraising, Partnerships and Community section at Oxfam Australia. This unit exists to inspire and invite individuals and communities to contribute their support (financial and action taking) and resources to advance our shared purpose of achieving a just and sustainable world without poverty. The Digital Marketing unit is a small specialist team of digital marketing and content experts working in partnership with the multiple teams across the organisation to attract, activate and engage supporters and the Australian public.

The Digital Marketing Specialist reports to the Digital Marketing Manager in the Supporter Activation unit. This role is responsible for creating a campaign led approach to audience building through designing and executing high quality digital engagement for fundraising and advocacy campaigns. This role will work end-to-end across web, email and to attract and convert support for online actions and/or donations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement integrated digital marketing campaigns across paid, owned and social channels for a diverse portfolio of digital fundraising and campaigning products
  • Develop and optimise personalised conversion and engagement journeys using Marketo marketing automation software
  • Plan and implement inspiring and impactful digital campaigns that drive supporter growth and engagement at scale
  • Work collaboratively with design, social media and content colleagues to create timely, engaging content aligned to Oxfam’s sphere of interest
  • Design, build and send campaign eDMs to activate supporters and update them on the impact of their support.
  • Work in partnership with supporting agencies and website development team to ensure Oxfam Australia website and microsites are optimised for conversions, UX and SEO.
  • Generate engaging digital content (petitions, handraiser, value exchange) to attract new audiences and engage existing audiences.
  • Use digital analytics to measure and report on performance of digital campaigns and channels against agreed KPIs.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience developing and implementing digital marketing and communication strategies (Digital campaigning experience desirable)
  • Experience in project management of digital projects using agile approaches
  • Experience working with a CMS platforms like Sanity and marketing automation software such as Marketo
  • Experience managing paid social and paid search
