Your new team:

Orygen Specialist Programs (OSP), a program of Melbourne Health, provides specialist mental health services for young people aged 15 to 25 and focuses on providing early intervention to young people with severe and complex mental illness.

Our HYPE team provide early intervention for young people with Personality Disorder (PD). The HYPE Service Development Program works alongside the HYPE Specialist Clinical and Research Programs to provide specialist training in relational approaches to clinicians and other professionals who work with young people with PD and related difficulties. The HYPE team run specialist psychotherapy training, providing training programs leading to accreditation by ANZACAT as a CAT Practitioner.

Your new role:

The CAT Training Coordinator will develop and deliver training programs and supervision in relational approaches to clinicians both within and external to Orygen. You will also:

  • Collaboratively develop a strategy with internal and external stakeholders to increase the relational capacity of the mental health workforce
  • Develop short training activities that can be used by clinicians to more effectively manage clients presenting with complex and challenging needs
  • Coordinate the curriculum, student enrolments, teaching, supervision and assessment processes of the CAT psychotherapy training program
  • Manage and organise the CAT teaching team and CAT supervisors
  • Liaise with and build partnerships with other CAT training programs and associations, within Australia and internationally.

About you:

  • Relevant registration and qualifications
  • Comprehensive in mental health, and considerable experience supervising mental health clinicians and taking a senior role in managing a multidisciplinary team.
  • CAT Practitioner and CAT Supervisor, accredited with ANZACAT or equivalent national CAT association.
  • Experienced in developing and delivering teaching and professional development activities, preferably experience consulting and delivering training in the CAT relational model
