The Research Manager will facilitate and support the delivery of Orygen Digital’s research activities surrounding the implementation and use of the MOST platform across youth mental health services nationally.

Reporting to the Head of Research (Orygen Digital) you will:

  • Work closely with Orygen Digital MOST researchers to coordinate research projects, activities, and research experiments as required (including liaising with relevant teams) and ensure key milestones are met.
  • Manage and maintain a database (Confluence) of current research projects and their status, grant opportunities/applications, publications, and presentations, and monitor progress and success rates and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the statistical analysis and interpretation of data for research projects and internal evaluation/ quality improvement projects including generating actionable insights that inform the ongoing improvement of MOST.
  • Support the development of competitive grant applications as relevant and apply for ethics approvals as required and liaise with ethics committees including reporting and seeking amendments as needed.

What you’ll need

You are passionate, energetic and determined to make a difference to health and wellbeing outcomes for young people. The following criteria must be met for consideration for this position:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in mental health or other relevant field.
  • Highly developed skills and extensive experience in mental health research project management.
  • Experience in analysing quantitative/qualitative data and generating insights using appropriate statistical analysis software (e.g.REDCap, SPSS, R, SAS).
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to scientific papers, competitive grants, research reports and ethics submissions.
