CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

You’ll be a pivotal member of our Philanthropy team reporting to our National Development Manager. As a natural self-starter, you’ll nurture relationships with individual supporters, businesses, grant managers and trustees, and inspire them to give generously to help families lift themselves out of poverty. You’ll organise life-changing events and provide valuable administrative support to our State Managers. You’ll be living in Melbourne and have the chance to work from home. Once deemed safe again, you’ll occasionally travel regionally to connect with supporters in Victoria and South Australia. You may even get to travel overseas to see for yourself how your passion and drive are helping families build lives free from poverty.

YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

You will be a strong communicator, have good ideas and talent building strong relationships both within your team and with supporters. You’ll be motivated to discover new potential supporters and nurture mutually beneficial relationships. You are a gifted multitasker, willing to balance your own priorities with those in the team around you. You can navigate your way around a CRM and keep it up-to-date. Your confident, proactive, mature and professional approach, coupled with the ability to work in alignment with the values of the Christian ethos that motivates Opportunity, will be key to your success.
