About the Opportunity

This role is responsible for supporting program management of primary health services commissioned by NT PHN that are evidence-based and responsive to local and regional needs. This position will take a lead role in service co-design, sourcing, contract management and relationship management commissioned programs. The role will be required to work in a proactive and collaborative manner with internal and external stakeholders in a co-design approach to achieve improved health outcomes for the population. The commissioning activities of the role may change based on organisational need.

About You

The Regional Health Partnerships Coordinator (Cultural) (Identified) will report to the Regional Health Partnerships Lead and is responsible and accountable for their own work and may have responsibility for the work of a team. They exercise initiative, discretion and judgement as required. They will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge base incorporating theoretical concepts.

  • This role is designated as Indigenous Identified, under s.25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
  • Knowledge or training equivalent to a relevant degree and/or extensive equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing services related to the delivery of the Australian Primary Health Care System an of understanding of cross-cultural service delivery.
  • Demonstrated high level project management skills, knowledge and experience with an ability to deliver a project.
  • Strong interpersonal, engagement and relationship building skills with a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients, partners and stakeholders in an environment requiring cultural sensitivity to co-design solutions, maximise outcomes, and ensure organisational coordination and efficiency.
  • Leadership skills, with a proven track record in leading high performing teams that deliver exceptional, client focused results.
  • An ability to deliver high level, proactive and accountable management of program budgets within key performance requirements.
  • An ability to contribute to strategic, system and critical thinking abilities to support development and continuous improvement of NT PHN health commissioning functions and activities.
