NSW Stoma Pty Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the support of members who have undergone surgery resulting in a Colostomy, Ileostomy, Urostomy / Ileal Conduit or other external pouch procedure.
We are a non-Government, self-help organisation, tasked with distributing stoma and related products on behalf of the Department of Health.
As a registered charity our primary focus is to support our members by:
- Supplying our members with essential products to manage their stoma.
- Raising the standard of care and wellbeing for all ostomates.
- Providing information, education, encouragement and emotional support through our website, journal and our regional and urban information & education days.
- Funding a free clinic for members with our Stoma Nurse.
- Representing ostomates and advocating on their behalf to the government, both federal and state.
- Additional assistance to members as required.
Reporting line: Deputy Manager and General Manager
Location: Unit 5, 7-29 Bridge Rd, Stanmore NSW 2049
Duties include:
- Front line Customer service duties including monitoring and answering emails, answering phone calls from members and Stomal Therapy Nurses and front desk reception duties.
- Processing customer orders using dedicated software.
- Liaising with suppliers and members as required re availability of goods.
- Processing member payments and following up with members re: outstanding payments.
- Assisting in other duties, including assisting in the warehouse as required.
- Maintaining the office environment including keeping the area clean and tidy at all times.
Prerequisites
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Good computer literacy.
- Proficiency using MS office suite inc outlook, word and excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Quick learner.
- Ability to prioritise tasks while working to competing deadlines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Compulsory successful police check.
