About Council for Intellectual Disability (CID)
- CID is a peak body representing the rights and interests of people with intellectual disability in NSW.
- CID undertakes advocacy, information provision and projects that advance the rights of people with intellectual disability.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop, review and maintain organisational policies and procedures and ensure compliance with legislative and grant requirements.
- Develop and maintain systems to track compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Manage financial systems including payments, invoices and payroll in consultation with external book keepers.
- Support Senior Manager Corporate Services in high level financial processes including budget development, financial reporting and external audit.
- Manage bank account authorities, lease, insurance and other corporate responsibilities.
- Manage AGM and other Board processes including collation and distribution of Board and Governance papers and meetings.
- Monitor IT performance and requirements and identify required upgrades and maintenance in consultation with external consultants.
- Oversee facilities management for central and regional offices.
- Implement monitoring and evaluation system through CRM database (Salesforce). Manage external consultants to implement system improvements.
- Manage HR systems and processes including the preparation and management of contracts, induction of staff and development of training calendar.
- Participate as a member of CID’s Leadership team.
- Contribute to development of CID Strategic Plan and Operational Plan.
Essential Selection Criteria – Skills & Experience
- Commitment to the human rights of people with disability and the principles of participation and inclusion.
- High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and capacity to problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results and operate effectively in a dynamic environment of organisational change and competing demands.
- High level analysis, research and writing skills and experience in the development of policies and procedures.
- Experience in the management of HR, Finance and IT systems (including CRM).
- Demonstrated experience in productive working relationships with colleagues to achieve required outcomes.
Desirable Criteria for the position
- Experience in working with Boards or Committees.
