No to Violence is Australia’s peak body for individuals and organisations that work with men that use violence. We provide training, sector development and advocacy across the sector. We operate the Men’s Referral Service, providing a counselling service and referral pathways directly to men who use violence. As a pro-feminist organisation, women and children are at the centre of what we do - by ending men’s use of family violence, families, individuals, and communities are safer.

About the role

  • Role Type: Permanent Part time, 0.6 FTE preferably over 4 days a week, including Fridays
  • Classification: SCHADS level 4 (plus 2%) $86,828 (pro rata) plus superannuation
  • Location: Melbourne CBD

The Administration and Office Assistant plays a key role in supporting the effective and professional operation of NTV’s office and general administrative and office support services. This role operates as the first point of contact for all telephone enquiries and visitors to NTV’s office and is accountable for providing a range of quality and efficient administrative support services:

  • Administration and Front Office Services such as reception duties, maintaining stationery, kitchen and office supplies, travel booking.
  • Back up Payroll support providing administration support to handle payroll queries and produce reports for payroll crosschecking
  • Providing back up technology support, maintaining asset registers and managing the purchase, issue and return of IT equipment.
  • NTV membership Administration and support, answering first level inquiries and redirecting as required, providing excellent customer service to our members, preparing Annual invoices, monthly members information for our newsletter

About you

  • A passion for customer service and the ability to develop a rapport.
  • Highest levels of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and time management and problem solving skills.
  • Highly organised, having exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, in addition to data entry and/or administration skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and also autonomously, taking initiative when required.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft office suite/ SharePoint and have utilised a CRM in previous roles.
  • High level of proficiency in the use office equipment including video and teleconferencing equipment and the ability to trouble shoot ICT issues for other staff
  • Ability to professionally and confidently interact with external stakeholders, including members, industry stakeholders and suppliers
  • Experience in a similar type of role and a passion to support others
  • Prior experience working with Members in a not for profit environment (desirable)
  • Experience working in payroll is desired but not essential
  • An understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and the need for appropriate responses (desired)
