The Nurse Midwife Health Program Australia (NMHPA) is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of nurses, midwives, and students of these professions by offering a free, confidential, and compassionate peer-to-peer counselling and health support service. With a vision of better health for healthcare workers and safer care for the public, NMHPA operates nationally via face-to-face, telehealth, and telephone consultations from various locations across Australia. Funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, NMHPA is a key pillar in supporting the nursing and midwifery workforce.

NMHPA is recruiting for a part time 0.8 FTE Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM) or dual qualified RN/RM for the Clinician role based in Hobart, to provide peer-to-peer counselling and general health support to nurses, midwives, and students of the professions engaging with our service.
Reporting to the Eastern Regional Coordinator, this role is responsible for peer-to-peer support, assessment, care planning, ongoing monitoring, and coordination of support for individual needs. You will work with participants experiencing a range of health and wellbeing challenges and support referrals to appropriate practitioners and specialist services where required.
This role supports participants nationally via face to face, telehealth and telephone consultations. Interstate and intrastate travel may be required from time to time.
