New Israel Fund Australia

About New Israel Fund Australia

New Israel Fund (NIF) Australia was established in 2011 to promote equality of civil and human rights, social and economic justice, women’s rights and religious pluralism and tolerance across Israel and Palestine. We are committed to an end to the occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories and the establishment of a homeland for Israelis and for Palestinians. We have a presence in Melbourne and Sydney and a large community of supporters and donors that continues to grow.

We are the Australian Jewish community’s leading progressive voice on Israel and Palestine. Since our establishment in Australia in 2011, thousands of people have come to our events and we’ve distributed millions of dollars to critical civil society projects in Israel. While we are a small organisation managed by an Executive Director, and an active board, we work with our global NIF partners to advance a just and democratic Israel. We are dedicated to upholding equality for all, as envisioned in Israel’s Declaration of Independence. To realise our vision, we partner with Israeli accredited non-profits, raise funds for their projects and engage our supporters and the broader community on the critical issues facing Israeli civil society.

Our professional team is small and dynamic. We have an open and collaborative team model that ensures everyone’s opinions are heard and the team can focus on supporting each other to achieve outcomes.
