The Role

Reporting to the Policy and Government Relations Manager, you will be supporting projects generating evidence needed to achieve a positive and sustained difference to the early childhood education system. You will do this by:

  • Contributing to in-house and commissioned research and policy projects across different streams of work
  • Researching, analysing, monitoring and synthesising a diverse and emerging range of issues related to early childhood policy
  • Producing public-facing reports and fact sheets, policy and evidence briefs, research summaries tailored to a variety of audiences
  • Developing and maintaining relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders; E.G early learning providers, universities, business leaders and Government

Skills Required

You will have demonstrated experience in a project orientated environment ideally related to research or policy areas where you have analysed policy issues, preferably within an early childhood education or public policy setting. Importantly you can demonstrate:

  • Superior organisational and project planning skills
  • Outstanding communication skills to frame and translate evidence into clear and compelling narratives for a diverse range of audiences
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Understanding of the Australian media and political landscape is highly desirable.
