The Organisation

Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) provides general practitioners, skin cancer doctors and nurses with direct access to the latest knowledge and practical skills to improve the identification and treatment of skin cancer.

SCCA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, and is the peak body representing and supporting primary care skin cancer practitioners in both Australia and New Zealand. The organisation is committed to the professional development of its members and the delivery of skin cancer education, advocacy, research and standards.

The Role

You will provide strategic advice and ensure best practice operational capability across the areas of finance, human resources, ICT, governance, risk management and compliance.

Reporting to the CEO and leading a small team, you’ll have responsibility for overall business operations including:

  • Purchasing and procurement
  • Reporting - financial, regulatory, risk and compliance
  • Potential company secretarial function
  • Continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen performance and competitiveness

Skills Required

You bring a commercial and ethical mindset and a collaborative style of leadership, together with demonstrated experience leading operational capability and governance improvement, including knowledge and understanding of NFP and ACNC governance standards.
  
You’re also able to demonstrate:

  • High level strategic thinking, problem solving and project management skills
  • Sound knowledge of accounting practice and software such as MYOB and MSOffice
  • Confidence and experience preparing and presenting reports to boards and/or committees
  • Understanding of trans-Tasman accounting standards and requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or similar
