Experienced House leader to run a supported living facility with 24-hour care roster in our Inner Western Melbourne Region.

The Role:

You will manage all requirements associated with an ABI client in a supported living home with 24 hour care roster. The position will report into the Regional Service Delivery Manager in our Western Melbourne region.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of up to 20 Support Workers
  • Build rapport with all key stake holders relating to client
  • Ensure all client requirements are met and maintained in accordance with client needs
  • Assist with the development of transitional living plans in conjunction with the client needs
  • Building key stakeholder relationships with Allied health teams and coordinators
  • Managing the financials of the house and operational expenditure
  • Manage, coach, mentor the team to achieve participant goals and requirements
  • Manage any employee relations and performance of your team
  • Uphold and maintain all Health and safety requirements and reporting
  • Meet all compliance requirements relating to client and company procedures

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum Diploma in community service, welfare and well-being, social work or nursing
  • A minimum experience of 3 years in a management or team leader position in Complex Health needs or Acquired Brain Injuries
  • Clear National Police check issued within the last 12 months
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Working with Children Check
  • Valid Full Australian drivers’ licence and reliable transport
  • Passion and commitment to provide services for our clients
  • Mobile phone with internet access
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Able to provide 100 points of ID

Other Desirable Criteria:

  • Nursing background or high level of experience with ABI participants
  • Fluent in Vietnamese – not essential but preferable
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Complex needs experience advantageous
  • Sound Peg feeding experience
