Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC) is looking to recruit a Team Leader for its long-established Boarding House Outreach Service (BHOS). This position is focused on supporting case managers to deliver a quality assured case management service to residents of general boarding houses and other people experiencing homelessness.
The role has responsibility for the day-to-day management, development and support of the BHOS team. Duties include developing the service model, intake and allocation of clients, performance reporting, developing referral pathways and stakeholder relationships, and playing a key role within all NNC’s homelessness activities.
Working from a trauma informed perspective you will be focused on supporting and developing case managers in addressing the underlying issues of housing instability. You will build a network of relationships across sectors to enable improved living environments and improved outcomes for clients.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A commitment to the values of Newtown Neighbourhood Centre
- Demonstrated experience in supporting and developing staff
- Demonstrated experience in developing and fostering good practice case management models
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to establish effective relationships with partners and stakeholders
- A drive to ensure sustained positive outcomes for clients
- Relevant qualifications in social work, or tertiary community services qualifications, or equivalent experience working with vulnerable adults
