20-24 hours per week over 4 days, (initial 12 month contract with possibility of extension).

In all that we do, NNC is committed to social justice and belonging. The Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC) are looking to recruit a Community Connections Coordinator who will be the first point of contact at Newtown Neighbourhood Centre. You will work from a person centred and trauma informed perspective, supporting volunteers, to ensure anybody that visits or calls Newtown Neighbourhood Centre is welcomed and supported with the most relevant and appropriate information and referral/s.

You will assist our Homelessness Services Team (volunteers and paid workers) respond to issues of homelessness and other community concern at Newtown Neighbourhood Centre

We are looking for someone who has:

• A commitment to the values of Newtown Neighbourhood Centre
• Experience of providing great customer service to individuals from a range of backgrounds
• Working with and supporting volunteers
• An understanding of homelessness issues
• A solutions focused individual with excellent problem solving ability
• Great administration and organisation skills
• Outstanding communication skills
• A dynamic, creative and flexible approach
